Suzhou Zhaohai Textile Technology presented products described as plant-ink inkjet printing at the 15th Jiangsu Shengze Textile Expo, according to a report published on 14 October. The expo ran on 11–13 October.

Several printing routes on one stand

The report lists plant-ink inkjet printing alongside digital printing, nylon heat-transfer printing and hand tie-dyeing in Zhaohai’s display. These are distinct descriptions within the exhibitor’s offering; they should not be treated as one interchangeable process.

The plant-ink reference points to an application in patterned textiles, but the report gives no formulation, plant-derived content percentage or independently verified environmental performance. It also does not identify which photographed fabric samples use that ink.

Questions for commercial evaluation

For brands assessing the material, ink composition, compatible fabrics and tested colourfastness would help establish suitability. Production requirements and wastewater data would be needed before making a comparative environmental claim.

The exhibition provides a product-development lead, while those technical details remain to be confirmed with the supplier.
