WOO presented its spring-summer 2027 collection at Shanghai Fashion Week on 15 October, according to a collection account published by Sanlian Creative. The presentation included xiangyunsha, a traditional dyed-silk fabric.

A material-led heritage story

The account describes treatment with shulang, a plant-derived dye material, followed by river-mud processing and sun exposure. Xiangyunsha appears alongside other traditional textiles, cashmere and silk-cashmere materials.

The collection draws on Yellow River imagery and combines fabric choices with Suzhou embroidery and other handwork. Its relevance to textile readers lies in the use of an established processing tradition within a contemporary fashion collection.

Tradition is not an impact certificate

The account supplies no lifecycle comparison, water-use data or evidence that the full collection uses natural dyes.

Plant-derived colour and heritage craftsmanship should not automatically be described as lower-impact production. Commercial availability, fabric quantities and environmental performance remain separate questions from the collection's cultural narrative.
