EP YAYING places silk, yak down and cashmere at the centre of its spring-summer 2027 material story, according to the brand's 14 October release about its MODE Shanghai Fashion Week presentation.
The release identifies the trade-show dates as 8–12 October. Its material and sourcing statements are brand disclosures, rather than independent environmental findings.
Three materials and their supply chains
The brand names mulberry silk from its Ningnan sericulture base in Sichuan, yak down linked to Aba and Nagqu, and cashmere from Alashan. It describes low-dyeing processes for the yak-down offer and per-item QR traceability for the cashmere line.
Material swatches, craft samples and collection prototypes form part of the buying presentation. The proposed connection is between raw-material origin, garment construction and the information available to international buyers.
What traceability establishes
A QR code can provide access to product information, but the release does not document an independently audited chain of custody or a complete product footprint. It also does not establish that every item carries the same traceability features.
Natural fibre selection and sourcing narratives are part of the collection's positioning; their environmental performance needs evidence beyond the material name.
